Letter of Agreement
This LOA is interactive and should only take a few moments of your time. Please sign and submit this form as part of the terms of your design consultation.
Upon your approval and signed Letter of Agreement, Jill Carty Designs will commence services which may include, but are not limited to: floor plans, sourcing items, selection of finishes, choosing paint colours, sourcing furnishings, lighting, wall art, custom window treatments, accessories, concept drawings and shopping services, dependent upon your needs and requests. Exact deliverables for your project will be presented and agreed on before work begins.
Design services beyond the initial 1 1/2 hr Design and/or Colour Consultations, are charged at an hourly rate of $95 per hour plus HST. Balance of 3D Design Concept Drawing packages are to be paid prior to the presentation date. For any correspondence such as emails, texts (none after 6pm), and phone calls, time is logged and charged accordingly.
Design Process & Professional Trust
Jill Carty Designs is engaged for professional decorating and design guidance and creative direction. Clients acknowledge that the process involves layered decision-making and trust in Jill’s recommendations, expertise and knowledge. While client input is welcomed at key milestones, ongoing questioning or re-evaluation of previously approved decisions may impact timelines and fees.
A “key decision maker” will be determined at the time of the consult and is responsible for all final decisions by verbal agreement, email response, or signing off on all aspects of the project. Once a key decision maker has been appointed and approvals from him/her have been granted, any changes made thereafter could delay the process and in turn increase the cost of the overall project. Jill Carty Designs accepts no responsibility for delays, shortages, or goods no longer available.
Custom sourced products cannot be cancelled or returned once the order is already in progress. Time and restocking fees for any returns will be billed accordingly on all returns. When purchasing products, dependent on a suppliers return policies, unless the product is damaged, it may be non-refundable or valid for an exchange only. Custom orders require 100% advance payment.
Supplier Relationships & Sourcing Integrity
Jill Carty Designs works with a curated network of trusted suppliers and trades. These relationships are built on professional respect and transparency. When Jill Carty Designs recommends specific suppliers or trades, clients agree not to independently contact, solicit, or “shop” Jill Carty Designs’ suppliers for pricing, alternatives, or substitutions without prior discussion and approval. Doing so may compromise supplier relationships and the overall design outcome.
Jill Carty Designs does not take responsibility for trades hired by you or work performed by them, but will happily work with them to communicate our vision and expertise for your space.
Designer By Your Side is a consulting-based service that is about guidance and decision-making, rather than purchasing. Discounts are not built into this service, however, Jill Carty Designs will make sure you are spending wisely and avoiding costly mistakes. Any discounts or pricing considerations extended remain our sole discretion and are not implied or guaranteed.
Project Photography - How It Works
At the conclusion of your project, you agree to Jill Carty Designs returning to photograph the completed space for portfolio and marketing purposes. This is a standard part of our process and allows us to document our work, attract future clients, and continue offering the level of service and expertise you’re engaging us for. Photography is scheduled within a reasonable window once the project is complete and styled, and is handled efficiently and respectfully. No personal details, names, or addresses are ever shared, and care is taken to avoid featuring personal items unless expressly approved. Target photography date as soon as possible and within 30 days of project completion.
This agreement is valid for 6 months in the event of non communication from the client to Jill Carty Designs. A new Consultation would be booked to re engage services.
